About Switch Hub

Switch Hub is building modern infrastructure for cross-border payments and multi-currency financial services.

We make it easier for individuals and businesses to move, receive and manage money across currencies through fast, reliable and compliant payment solutions.

As we grow across markets, products and payment corridors, we are building a financial brand that is not only trusted and functional, but also distinctive, modern and easy to recognize.

Design plays an important role in that ambition. From our digital products and campaigns to our website, social channels, customer communications and partnerships, we want every interaction with Switch Hub to feel intentional and unmistakably ours.

This is an opportunity to help shape that identity from the ground up and define how a growing fintech brand looks, communicates and shows up in the world.

The Role

Switch Hub is looking for an exceptional Brand & Creative Design Lead to define and elevate how our brand shows up across every customer touchpoint.

This is not simply a graphic design role. You will own Switch's visual direction, establish the systems that make our brand recognizable, and turn marketing and business objectives into compelling creative work.

You will take ownership and work across digital advertising, social media, website, product marketing, email, campaigns, presentations, events and other customer-facing channels.

You should be equally comfortable developing a campaign concept from scratch, defining the visual direction, and getting hands-on in Figma or Adobe Creative Suite to bring the work to life.

Your goal is simple: make Switch instantly recognizable.

What You Will Own

Brand & Visual Direction

Define and continuously evolve Switch's visual identity and creative direction. Establish clear principles for typography, colour, imagery, photography, illustration, iconography and composition. Develop a distinctive visual language that customers can recognize even before seeing our logo. Maintain and evolve comprehensive brand and visual guidelines. *Ensure consistency across channels while allowing creative work to remain fresh and original.

Creative Direction & Campaigns

  • Translate marketing, product and business objectives into strong creative concepts.
  • Develop the creative direction for campaigns, product launches, promotions and brand initiatives.
  • Turn briefs into compelling creative ideas rather than simply executing instructions.
  • Establish art direction for photography, illustration, video, animation and motion.
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, Product and other teams to develop creative that is both distinctive and commercially effective.
  • Bring fresh creative thinking to how financial products and cross-border payments are communicated.

Brand Design System

Build and maintain a scalable Switch Brand Design System across:

  • Social media and digital advertising
  • Website and landing pages
  • Email and in-app communications
  • Product and feature launches
  • Presentations and corporate materials
  • Events and physical marketing materials
  • Partnerships and co-branded campaigns

Create reusable templates, grids, components and visual frameworks that help the broader team move quickly without compromising quality.

Hands-on Design

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will personally create and contribute to high-priority work, including:

  • Campaign key visuals
  • Digital and social advertising
  • Product launch creative
  • Website and landing-page visuals
  • Social media creative
  • Marketing collateral and presentations
  • Brand assets and infographics
  • Motion and video concepts

You should be capable of taking an idea from rough concept → creative direction → finished execution.

Creative Quality

  • Set the creative quality benchmark for Switch.
  • Review and provide clear direction to designers, agencies and freelancers.
  • Ensure customer-facing creative meets Switch's brand standards.
  • Identify weak, generic or inconsistent creative and improve it.
  • Establish design standards based on clear creative and brand principles rather than personal preference.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in brand design, creative direction, visual design or a related field.
  • Experience with a consumer brand, technology company, fintech, creative agency or similarly fast-moving environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating both visual excellence and conceptual thinking.
  • Experience building or significantly evolving a brand identity or visual design system.
  • Strong typography, composition, colour and visual hierarchy skills.
  • Experience developing integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social-first design.
  • Ability to communicate and defend creative decisions clearly.
  • Ability to provide constructive creative direction to other designers.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader understanding of brand and business objectives.
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.

Experience with motion design, video direction, photography, illustration or AI-assisted creative workflows is an advantage.

What Your Portfolio Should Demonstrate

Your portfolio is more important to us than your job title.

We want to see evidence of:

  • Brand identity systems
  • Campaign concepts and creative direction
  • Art direction
  • Digital advertising and social campaigns
  • Strong typography and visual storytelling
  • Multi-channel creative
  • Brands you have helped build or elevate
  • Your individual contribution to collaborative projects

A portfolio consisting primarily of isolated social-media graphics will not be sufficient. We want to understand how you think, solve creative problems and build systems, not simply which software you can use.

How Success Will Be Measured

In your first months at Switch, you will be expected to:

  • Establish a clear and distinctive visual direction for Switch.
  • Create a comprehensive, practical brand design system.
  • Improve the quality and consistency of Switch's marketing and customer-facing creative.
  • Introduce recognizable visual elements that can be used consistently across communications.
  • Develop creative frameworks that allow campaigns to be produced efficiently without becoming repetitive.
  • Raise the creative standards of internal and external contributors.

Over time, customers should increasingly be able to recognize a Switch communication before they see the Switch logo.

The Person We're Looking For

You don't wait for a detailed brief telling you where to place the headline, image and logo.

You ask questions. You challenge weak ideas. You simplify complicated ones.

If someone says:

"We need to promote transfers from Canada to Nigeria."

you should be able to turn that simple objective into several compelling creative directions and explain why each could work.

You understand that great design isn't decoration. It is communication.

You want to help build a financial brand that is distinctive, modern, confident and memorable.
